How can I get my Aloe plant to produce new stems? Do I need to cut back on ones she does have? I know you can cut open the stems and use them for body gel. When can I do that?

Wolfen 🐺It looks a bit droopy, which could be a lack of light or overwatering. They aren't super fast growers, but Usually just bright light, chunky soil and they grow really well. Cutting them won't produce more growth like a nodal plant. You can essentially cut them at any point for aloe gel, though the larger leaves are easier to access.

The first pot I had her in, the roots grew up out of the ground. So I had her is a slightly bigger pot, they grew out again, so now she’s in a larger pot for her size. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

To give you an idea this is a 23 yr old aloe plant. The 'mother' draping over the pot edge and pups she grew the past few years coming up in the pot.

I caveat that with.. the first decade was a lot of neglect on my part 😬. But I had a 2yr old offspring too😆
