How go I get rid of fungus gnats for good? I've read countless Reddit posts and articles but nothing seems to do the trick permanently. I use yellow sticky traps, bottom water, water only when my plants let me know they need it (slight wilting, soil dry, etc), and have used mosquito dunks and a natural spray from a local grow shop. The spray works for a bit but as soon as I stop using it I'm infested with gnats again. The yellow traps work for the adults but they aren't stopping the spread. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

    Systemic granules or liquid. Nematodes. Sticky traps/zero till the adults die off. You can try using top dressing too. Really the only way to not have them is to go hydro and have no soil for them to lay eggs in. .

    When I see some show up I spray the soil with 1 part peroxide to 4 parts water. This works well at killing the larvae. I also use sticky traps and Zevo lights to catch adults.

    Mosquito dunks did the trick for me! Just remember, consistency is key, they won’t totally vanish, but you can keep those pesky numbers in check. And hey, my two pitcher plants (gifts from a friend) are having the time of their lives with the few gnats that still roam around, it’s like a snack bar for them lol
