Hey there! Being on a third floor balcony is great b/c I get lots of direct sunlight. Unfortunately, I’ve learned that it also means my plants get scorched on the hottest days. I’ll post one pic to show my patio before and after ‘The Great Scorch’ (aka mid-late June). Anyone think my creeping phlox will recover? All advice welcome! Ha!
I read about shade clothes. I’ve not used them personally but I wonder if that’s something that could help filter some of the harsher rays for the plants. Or just any easy to install and remove cloth or umbrella to add some respite for a few hours might help.
1 LikeShade cloth is definitely helpful, and on the absolute hottest days you can mist the leaves to help them stay cool. All my ficus bonsai have been suffering too, so let your plants know they're not alone :) i see plenty of green in the stems, so yours have a chance if they can send out some new leaves. Keep them hydrated, but also be aware they might not need water as often due to the die-back
