I was gifted this Peace Lily, and it's been blooming. The old bloom needs to be gone. Do I have to cut it out or will it fall on its own? And if to cut, where?

    I'd cut it off so your plant isn't sending nutrients/energy to a part of the plant that's going to die anyway. Cut it at the base of the stem with pruning shears that have been disinfected with isopropyl alcohol :)

      If you're pruning multiple plants in one go, clean the shears when moving from plant to plant. If a plant is infected with fungus or mold, it's best to clean shears after every CUT so you're not spreading the disease to other healthy leaves.
