    Don’t put it too close to your stove or in direct sunlight the leaves will burn

      Haha I def am not keeping it in this spot. I have it currently in my living room near my tv. Is that ok? It won’t be near direct sun but I think I will have to repot down the line because the soil does retain moisture

    Check under the soil to make sure ot doesn't have foam or tape around the trunk

      Thank you for this because it currently is looking drier and it’s only been 1 day. Will have to check later today after work. This is what it currently looks like today:

      Did it come from a greenhouse? It may be used to higher humidity, is so. Even in a hardware store it can be often higher humidity because all the plants are close together. You could try a bit of misting every few days

      It was gift to me from “sugarwish” (website name). Yes I thought so too and misted it today, my temp indoors currently at 68degrees

      So I checked the roots, found no tape or foam base. It had healthy thin roots wrapping around the soil and the soil felt damp. My worry is the trunk is dry and it spreading upwards so I don’t want it to be thirsty and dry up. Is this normal?

      Do you mean those areas that are browning on the green portion?

    It looks to be natural change from kind of Green stem to brown bark. You can get browning on the stems from watering issues, but as long as you have a good watering schedule down, it shouldn't be an issue. If it's from that (previous place not watering properly) and not normal change over.

    It was like that upon arrival :/ I hope it’s not dying. I touched the base of the root and it felt soft ish- like it’s been over watered
