Hi friends! First post on here. My poor string of hearts has been through so much with me, moved three states away and back, and got through a pretty bad period of me not being able to take care of my plants. Aside from being leggy and bald, he’s doing okay. Any suggestions on what to do? I put him in chunky soil with orchid bark because he has been prone to overwatering and fungus gnats in the past. TIA!
Mine do this lovely bald headed situation every now and then. I usually snip a string, then do butterfly cuts.... just cut in between the strings, and press the cuttings down on the top, and mist every few days. You can also just wrap a string in a circular pattern in the pot. But I like the props, because then I get more strings.

좋아요 1개 I have had great success, and everything crisp and die 😆 and I have not for the life of me figured out what the balance is. The wrapping, might be the better option. Then once you see they are rooting, you could carefully cut in between, and get extra strings.

좋아요 1개 Hopefully it helps. I have to do this with one of mine soon. I had moved it, and it was not getting ideal light, so it decided to equally go bald on one area and grow new hearts on another lol 🙄
좋아요 1개 Mine withstood a move 270 miles away and back in the span of six months, got all tangled up, and put up with my depression under-watering so I refuse to give up 😤
