Alright everyone, help me out. I want to give all my plant babies the best chance possible. When it rains, I collect as much rain water as I can because I have a few plants that are water-quality sensitive (venus fly trap for example). I barely get enough rain water for my ultra picky plants, so I guess my question is which plants are totally fine with tap water? I usually filter water through my brita, then leave it out for 24hours because I’ve heard that is helpful, but if I haven’t done that the day before and my plant is thirsty, can I water with straight tap water? (picture added for attention)

    I water all my plants with tap but I also don’t keep any plants that are super picky. My city’s tap is pretty good just heavy in minerals so I make sure to flush the soil well every few waterings. I know a lot of people buy a jug of distilled for their finicky plants since it’s convenient 😂

      The only ones I have right now that are picky are the venus fly trap, a calathea makoyana, and stromanthe magic star. Other than those, it should be safe to just use tap with everyone else?

      I looked through your plant list and I’d say other than the ones you stated you should be fine with tap. You can definitely leave it overnight if you want but not necessary!

    Most succulents like the one pictured are fine off tap, I read above that someone said distilled water & that’s a great way to go!
