Wondering why my ZZ plant has a yellow dying branch.. should I trim it off?

    Could be just an old branch given that the rest of the plant looks relatively healthy, I’d trim it for sure, no use for it now and that way you can make sure it doesn’t spread, also I’d take that water globe out, Zz plants are super drought tolerant plants from Africa, so they don’t need a constant water drip

      Agreed. My best guess would be that it’s a sign of overwatering from the water globe. ZZ’s really love drying out between waterings, and overwatering is their most common killer. If other leaves start yellowing, you might wanna check the roots and rhizomes for rot. As for potting, would you happen to know what type of pot it’s in (self-watering, plastic, ceramic, terra cotta, etc.)? A self watering or ceramic pot could be contributing to the problem as well, as they’re better suited for plants that like retaining moisture more consistently. Hope this helps!

      I believe the pot is ceramic. I’ve had it for about 1.5 years and I repotted it a few months ago, so far it’s always been very healthy and grown like crazy

      Hmm 🤔 it’s possible it’s just killing an older stalk, but given the size I would assume that’s a newer stalk, yes? If it’s not an old stalk, it could be that the pot is retaining too much moisture, even if it’s completely drying out between waterings, especially if you’ve been using a water globe for it lately, which adds even more water. You could try repotting it in a different pot if the roots look good but the yellowing spreads to another stem, keeping the same soil and just transferring it to a new pot. Is it in succulent soil?
