I got my aloe a couple of weeks ago and she’s on my back deck, south facing. Her color is darkening from the original vibrant green and her leaves feel a little soft, less firm than when she came home. Is it possible she’s getting too much light/sunburned? I watered her yesterday as scheduled- soil was dry. Thanks for any help. 🪴

It might just be adjusting. The aloes i put in direct sun had some change and discoloration but then they adjusted and they went back to green. Also i water them probably every 3 weeks cause they are really good with holding water and i felt they liked that beter

Yes! Do not follow planta’s water schedule for aloes, they root rot very easily if even slightly overwatered, neglect is aloes favorite thing

When my aloe that came from my sisters mother plant came home with me, it started browning but as soon as I moved it out the window and left the soil to completely dry it became happy and vibrant green, maybe too much sun and water??

Good thought. I haven’t watered since she came home (tho we had a terrible storm last night). She has “greened up” since my last post… Will try reducing her light exposure over this coming weekend. Thanks!!
