Just wanted to share a before and after photo of my 47 year old Polka Dog Begonia. First picture is the day I rescued this plant in February 2025 and the second photo is today. Pretty proud of how far this beauty has come ❤️

anyone have tips for these beauties? i'm a begonia killer, i can't keep them alive in soil, but i think i'm finally going to try a self-watering pot. this is my first time using a self watering pot legitimately, they've always been a hard no for me but i think this is just one of those plants that won't thrive without truly consistent moisture. despite my bad luck with them it was so striking that i had to have it 😅

Any recommendations on how I can have the shape of this plant a little more normal/pretty? I love that shes a little weird but a bit bushier would maybe be nice.

I need some help with my begonia maculatas. I have three of them, I keep them in a mix of soil, sphagnum moss, orchid bark, and perlite. I run a humidifier consistently and they are in a minimum of 60% humidity at all times, sometimes closer to 75% humidity. The bottoms of their leaves seem to be being “eaten up” by browning edges. It happens so quickly and they get so dry as a result. I’m not letting the soil become water bogged but I’m also not allowing it to dry out completely. Could it be too much light? It did just push out a new beautiful leaf for me and I don’t want it to meet the same fate.

My Tiger Paw Begonia is getting out of hand. It’s in a 10 inch planter and should be repotted into at least a 12 inch. I’m debating whether to buy a new planter or divide it up into several. I divided my Escargot about a year ago. All the divisions looked very sad for almost two weeks and then they bounced back. I guess the other choice is to leave it where it is. There are only a few canes on the edge of the planter. 🤷♂️ Any thoughts?

I've had to take this stem down a couple knuckles because it turns brown like how it looks now:/ Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this one growing again? It doesn't have any leaves right now either, I don't know if that makes a difference.. But the rest of this pot is doing so well!
