I have 2 begonias, a snow cap and a amphioxus. Has anyone successfully grown these outside of terrarium? My snow cap was fine but has started crispifying, my guess is humidity. My amphioxus was bought in a pretty sad state. I see some tiny new leaves but the current ones are crisping as well. I’ve seen so many conflicting things. I live in Seattle so pretty humid. My kitchen is currently 77° and humidity is 60% and I have pebble trays. Is it me?
The stem on the right is significantly less vibrant than the ones on the left, any tips on how to fix? Her leaves have also stayed curled after watering, does she need more humidity?
Haven’t seen any wax begonias on here so I figured I’d share mine. It’s come a long way in the last two years.
How often does your Begonia bloom?
Hi all! I posted last night regarding my droopy begonia. I gave her a good water and let her drain overnight but she was still droopy. I staked the crap out of her stems in leaves in the hope that this would help her out. I was just wondering if you can you over do it with staking?
Hi begonia lovers, my beautiful Maurice Amey is experiencing powdery mildew. I’ve had other varieties of cane begonia over the last 7 or so years and have never come across this issue with them. First time for everything, I guess! Anyway, can anyone share whether they’ve had success treating it with a weekly fungicide spray? Or did you have to prop it for it to survive? So far I’ve sprayed weekly for about 3 weeks and the powdery mildew seems unbothered and keeps respawning.
Is my begonia supposed to be this droopy? I know I just watered it so that could be contributing but it has stem support and the same amount of light that my pinstripe calathea does. Is it possibly in shock because I just repotted it? I let it acclimate to my home first for a week. Help! I love her and want her to be happy!
What type of begonia do you all think this is? Thanks for the help
I tried to avoid the begonia train but here I am, finally gave in- they’re just so beautiful and interesting! New to begonias (though not to houseplants) any suggestions I should know?
My girl is growing like crazy and getting top heavy should I velcro tape her to a wooden trellis for support? Or is she not that kind of plant 🪴💕🤷♀️

Hey plant people! So, I’ve had this weird lanky Maculata for about, 5 years now? She’s always been in this vase, only 2 soil changes and she’s always adapted well. Recently, (October) I moved to a new house, and she did not pair well with the new environment. Dropped all of her leaves, but I believe she’s prepping to put out more. I was curious as to what I could do better to suit her lifestyle. She is not near a vent, directly next to an indirectly sunny window, gets watered frequently, and I have yet to fertilize her due to her organic nature. I work in a garden center, so I know how they are, but she’s never been this sassy with me. Any suggestions help! Thank you and nice to meet you all, I’m sure I’ll be updating and requesting some more help in the future.
The veins on begonia withlacochee are so stunning in the sunlight 😩. Icould totally go for 5 more lol
hi begonia buddies! the left upper leaf of my begonia maculata is kinda curled like this. she’s green but she just has this curve to her. is that okay? is that a sign of overwatering? i’m new to begonias. or is this just how her leaves look before they open up more later. thank youuu! 🪴

Is it just me or are cane begonias kinda temperamental?? when it got cold where I am my pink mink wasted no time in dying, and no matter how I tried to cater to her, she wasn’t having ANY of it. My don miller came back, but the pink mink is still throwing a fit. I’m so tired of her I might let her go and move on. 😭 Top picture is don miller today Bottom left is pink mink today Bottom right is the two of them when I first got those cuttings, don miller was sharing a cup with a syngonium bc I wanted it to get some of the root growth hormones.
