I have been growing this begonia since 2019. Learned so much along the way about what it needs. Took many cuttings and filled out the pot and now it is over 3 feet tall. I finally got it to flower. So rewarding.

On July 28 2022 my friend brought me my first Begonia as a cutting. Fast forward to yesterday when I repotted from an 8” to a 10” pot and added some plant stakes. This is one of my favorite plants! 🤩

Hi there! Looking for suggestions of Begonia species that would be easy to grow in ambient humidity (like 50%ish) Keep in mind this wouldn’t be like extremely dry, just not a terrarium set up!

My begonia is dropping lots of leaves post a huuuuge bloom! Is this normal?

I’m out of ideas, any suggestions are appreciated! Begonia Maculata and Begonia Benigo, both are doing the exact same thing despite being in different locations with different light sources. One I’ve had for a long time with no issues, one is newer but have had no issues. They are constantly dropping leaves. They’re both growing tons of new ones, but are dropping all of them. One repotted 6 months ago, one repotted 1 month ago (pot size is not the issue for either one). One is in a west facing window, one is under a grow light. I’m fertilizing every 3rd watering right now and water when its 50% dry. Zero pests, fungus, etc. I thought it could be a light issue, but then it shouldn’t be happening to the one under the grow light My only other condition I can’t control (or really even improve) is the humidity of my place. It gets very dry in the winter. Could low humidity cause this? Or are they just going dormant and this is what it looks like?

My Begonia just keeps growing taller and no flowers. I have cut it down several times. Any suggestions to get it to flower or what to do for it. Thank you

so this is the second begonia I’ve owned being I could not keep my first alive whatsoever, I read last night that showering your begonia may help with growth in drier climates, I just want to keep my baby alive!!! Any pointers? To be fair, my last Rex died pretty much on the way home, I’ve had this one for a few days now and seems to be better???? I’d like to keep it that way!!!

Hi all- my begonia maculata I very asymmetric. It has been growing a lot through the summer but just last week began to drop leaves. Is this normal for the fall? Is it normal to have such sidedness to these?
