I recently started getting into begonia after buying a couple of black velvet begonia from Home Depot. I grabbed a few more types of begonia from a plant show and local nurseries and have since turned an old curiosity cabinet into my begonia cabinet. I have a couple more spaces to fill as I find plants I love, but I figured I'd share what I have so far.

Flaunting my beautiful baby Ume 🥰 I’m so proud of her! 🥹 You can click on her plant tag below to see some better photos of her leaves & how she’s changed over time!* It’s so hard to show her true glory on camera! *She’s the sassiest plant I’ve ever had but I love her diva personality 💅🏻 She had a drooping problem in the past due to being moved from the plant shop to her new home. She was throwing a lil fit for a while but she warmed up with time 😌

I recently got this begonia ferox, and I’ve noticed it’s leaf buds have been drying up before they’ve even grown a stem. I chalked it up to stress after being moved, but it hasn’t stopped and I’m thinking it might be a humidity problem. Is this correct or does anyone have other ideas? None of its big leaves have crisped up but it’s gotten a little leggy even though it’s right under a grow light. Something about it looks wrong and I want to stop it before it gets worse. Thanks for any tips!

New to the plant world! Received this from a friend as a cutting. It rooted well in a plastic bag with water, soaked paper towel. I planted it and now this is what I have! I presume I need to cut it back, but could someone tell me Where to cut or if that is what I need to. Thanks for any help 😊

First of all, my apologies for constantly referring to it as a “her,” I can’t help it, she’s always given off feminine energy. 😆 My begonia seems stressed out and I’m having trouble figuring out why. I am a little stressed about it myself but haven’t messed with her (haven’t cut anywhere, haven’t repotted, haven’t moved her). I’m wondering if I’m worrying about nothing and maybe it’s seasonal. Had her for more than a year now and she always did super well, grew like crazy and stayed very lush, even growing three new stems. Over the past few months, she has been dropping leaves a lot of leaves but stayed growing tall and grew new leaves, making me think I shouldn’t repot. Now I got this weird little leaf that stopped growing. They never look like that when they grow too! All of the photos on her “page” are from before she started dropping leaves. So proud! Any advice would be appreciated. I know begonias can be tricky and I’ve only been into this for a year, but she is my treasure! My golden child! I’ll admit I stopped telling her she’s awesome and spraying her as often, as I started to get a little lazy as I got more plants, but I hesitate to think that had such a dramatic effect. If so, she’s a diva!

I got this in the summer and it did great outside but it's having issues inside. It's under a grow light and I just recently put a humidifier by it but it's still loosing leaves and doesn't look good. What else should I try. Thanks

Any suggestions on how to get more leaves or should I chop and prop? It is getting a flower so do I need to wait till after it blooms to propergate it. Thanks
