anyone have tips for these beauties? i'm a begonia killer, i can't keep them alive in soil, but i think i'm finally going to try a self-watering pot. this is my first time using a self watering pot legitimately, they've always been a hard no for me but i think this is just one of those plants that won't thrive without truly consistent moisture. despite my bad luck with them it was so striking that i had to have it 😅
Begonia black fang are so gorgeously weird looking. I don’t know if I have great advice for this. My black fang is hanging in there. The only way I’ve gotten my begonias to thrive is to leave them alone. 😂
allegedly mine is a black mamba. it was sold as that, but i've learned not to be super confident in the store's ID of anything lolol. and i soo feel you on the ignoring them.. my only surviving begonia are three cane cuttings i've been meaning to transfer to soil and i've been delaying for weeks. i may just keep them hydro forever. rex begonias hate me but i think they hate everyone else too
0 Mi piaceMy begonia mostly likes me. Self-watering style pot, refill the reservoir roughly once a week, regular potting soil, never get the leaves wet. Red and black leaves tend to like a lot of light compared to the same species with other leaf colors. Yours looks thirsty, but if it's doing that while the soil is wet, it may be root rot

Self watering pots for begonias is the way to go. I fill the bottom like once a week and she thrives
