Mom has a really nice begonia but it wasn’t doing good due to neglect. She took some of the healthier bits and repotted about a week ago and gave it to me. Leaves had a bit of brown tips before I received. She said it didn’t have strong roots either. Any advice for rehabbing this thing back to life?
Following. Mine is sad too. I did just move into a cabinet with grow lights and a humidifier. We will see

I do have some new leaves coming in. So that’s hopeful. And the cabinet is new so still working on it. Waiting for shelves to come in.

These gals tend to be on the thirsty side and are fast growers, give it time and it should come good with your care :)

0 Mi piace I let mine dry out between waterings because I’m a lazy plant parent and it has never caused any harm :)
2 Mi piaceThis was given to me a month ago and it was in an office. Has 0 leaves along the stems and only 2 on the very top of the two stems. The nodes stay dormant for a long time. I just gave it lots of lights and stable humidity and it strung back to life.
I think the more I have trimmed mine and propagated more to add back in the mix, the better it is going now

Repot with well-draining soil! Water thoroughly when top 2 inches are dry.
