Hi everyone. I have a black mamba begonias and I noticed these white spots and veining in the leaves. I am wondering if this is normal or if I should treat it for something?

Wolfen 🐺Can you wipe them off? They kinda almost look like hard water excretion, but im not 100%

Hi! No it can't be wiped off. It's almost like scarring on the leaves

I saw 1 little bug but I also have a few gnats so I'm thinking it was that. I sprayed it down with Captain jacks and I checked again and there were no visible pests. I've had this plant since March and it had some of those marks already.

The begonia that are this dark, often get these white kind of marks if anything happens to them. It's unfortunately just a figuring out what's causing it game. I'd treat it with the captains a few times. If it keeps going on, possibly an Antifungal

MadsDo the leaves get wet? Are the leaves ever wet while exposed to direct sunlight? These could be scars/burns from that. I’ve been told begonias don’t like to get their leaves wet.

I never get water into these leaves and I have the begonia in a part sun part shade area so it doesn't get much direct light. I did spray it down with Captain Jacks soap last night in case and the leaves were wet but that's been about it.
