   looks like mold. if there's green there's something to save! wipe off all of the mold and thoroughly coat the soil in an antifungal spray or unsweetened cinnamon. the leaves antifungal spray too. neem oil is perfect for this if you already have it, but your local gardening center should have it if you don't.

   Yep that's mold. Scrape off any visible mold and treat the soil (neem works, or you could do hydrogen peroxide). Don't get water on the leaves (the fuzz can trap moisture and cause rotting) and be careful not to overwater while it recovers. Terrariums often benefit from extra mold prevention/control; you need a good drainage layer to make sure water doesn't stagnate in the bottom, plus either springtails and isopods or a water filtration and circulation system. Small terrariums can be done with just a drainage layer, but you have to be careful with amount of water and you may want to do distilled water to reduce the odds of introducing spores
