Is pruning begonias a thing? This is the first time I’ve owned one and mine is looking pretty leggy! The pot fits on the windowsill but I’m nervous that the branches “radius” will make it harder to fit as it grows. Any advice about taming the growth would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, pruning is a thing with begonias. Train it to climb supports and you can tame it that way.

1 Like Ya have one being propped in water and is growing roots in places that are not located at nodes, which makes them so easy to prop compared to plants that do need nodes to root
1 Like I’ve tried a couple times to propagate from leaves that fell off, unfortunately unsuccessfully. But I’ll try again! I love the idea of making her bushier
0 LikesI prune mine to keep them full, and also pinch back new growth to promote blooms. I propagate the cuttings; sometimes they I have success just poking them into the dirt with no water culture necessary.
