Took an insurance cutting and water propped it as well. Doing nicely. Not sure if I should add it to the mother plant or let it be its own.

Amie206Tell me all your secrets! 😍 I’ve killed more than my fair share of cane begonias. Including 2 of these. I bought another one in August…..Crackling Rose (?). She’s doin alright - but her leaves seem a bit curled. I did just move her in the hopes the humidity being surrounded by LOTS of plants in a less direct light place would help

Really chunky soil, 60-70% humidity, and I fertilize weakly, weekly… with Foliage Focus plant nutrient.

Running off to see if I’ve reported it in something other than what it came in. I use a chunky soil on most houseplants. It’s with more plants now and the humidifier runs near it - my doo-hickey (official term 🤣) that measures humidity broke - need a new one (or two)

I’ve recently purchased the Govee humidifiers to link up with my Govee hygrometers (doohickeys :)). Really simple, and it’s nice because the humidifiers will come on when the humidity by the hygrometer drops, not just by the humidifier. My mix is really chunky: 20% coir, 30% orchid bark, 20% pumice, 10% coco chips, 10% worm castings, 10% charcoal. All my plants seem to like it.

Close to my mix, but I do have some organic potting soil in there too. I need to do more reading and retaining (heavy on retaining) the benefits of coir and orchid bark vs coco chips. I will definitely check out the humidifier/doohickey 🤪 brand. I’d love to not have to set it and “go”.
