Hi. I’m wondering if someone can help me figure out how to better support my polka dot begonia. It’s very happy, but very top-heavy. Right now I’m supporting it with metal stakes and Velcro ties but that doesn’t seem to be enough. I know I need to repot it too.

Mine is a poor forgotten child 😅 (Photo not mine). It just grows until a stem snaps and then I root the piece in water until it can go back in the pot. But I’ve see people prop theirs up on flat trellises like this one. Garden centers usually have them in all sizes

0개 좋아요 Yes, I think a trellis would work perfectly! I’ve repotted it and am using a stick for now, but I know it won’t last for long. I know that I probably should have waited but it was tipping over and drinking its water so fast that I had to water more often than usually needed. As far as a secret, I just follow the schedule here in the planta app. I just use miracle grow to fertilize and SUPERthrive as a vitamin supplement. You can get both at Walmart. I will say that it does love the west-facing window that it sits in.
0개 좋아요 Here she is. I cut off some of the flower clusters (mostly spent flowers) and I lost a couple of stems in the repot so I’m propagating them.
