So this is my first year with outdoor landscaping plants. Due to some harsh winters we lost 90% of the plants we had in our beds. We recently purchased the house so I wasnât really upset about the loss simply because I didnât like what was there to begin with. In June I decided to tackle the issue. We are in middle-Tennessee where soil is mostly all clay. The previous owners had added about 6 inches of mulch but had never done any kind of solid amendments. I tilled all of the mulch into the clay and then added grass clippings and gypsum to try and give me something to work with. I am pleased to say that the hard work paid off and this morning while enjoying coffee on my front porch a couple stopped to tell me my home is their favorite to admire in their morning walks! đ„°

West facing window and tint/film I have a west facing kitchen window. Plants burn in it so Iâm thinking about putting film on it. Any recommendations on what type of film or tint I should use? I also donât want to lose the light that comes in through the window.

Hello everyone! I got this succulent mixed cacti plant. My succulents are getting tall and Iâm not sure what to do with this plant. I transplanted it one time to a bigger pot and brought it outside. Not sure if I should separate, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This is probably a pest on my forget me not not fungus? Am I right? đ€ still learning. The white stuff is a little fuzzy and encircles the whole leaf. Greetings from Denver.

Whatâs going on with this aloe Vera leaf? Itâs pretty flat and kinda mushie. Never repotted. I only water when dry.

Bought this rubber tree from a nursery. The woman I spoke with at the nursery told me the plant could probably be repotted and to just go up a pot size. The plant tips over easily in the pot itâs in now. Can someone with experience give me a step by step instructions repotting? Never done it before.

My neighbor gifted me this blueberry shrub in a rather sickly state. I drilled drain holes in the pot and have managed to get it to thrive. This summer I got all of about 5 berries off of it. I am assuming that is because it probably pollinated off of a neighborâs plant prior to me receiving it. because they arenât self pollinating I am planning to get another blueberry shrub but wanted to ask folks who know if it matters what variety I get? Does it have to be the same variety blueberry bush in order for them to cross pollinate or am I good with whatever the nursery has in stock?

Not sure if these watermelons are going to make it. I planted them close to cherry tomatoes and they feel strangling each other. Hoping for the best!

Anyone have any tips for mature bougainvillea and Chinese box ahead of termite tenting? Fumigation company says they think it is mature enough to not die but will lose leaves and âlook uglyâ. I read about drenching roots right before fumigation, which I will do. Iâm wondering if I cut it back afterward will I shock it?

Does anyonw know whats up with my thai chili? i got it back in mid may and it was full of leaves the size of the bottom ones in the first picture. thwn around around early june it started losing all of them but grew baxk tiny ones. Now it gets flower buds, but rhey turn yellow and fall off before blooming. i tried moving it to more sun which is what got the leaves back, but thwyre a quarter of the original size and it still wont flower. Probably too late in the season to produce anything but i plan on overwintering this inside so msybe it will work for next year

Last one. Sorry for being greedy. My 7 junipers have the same little white squirmy bugs in the soil along with what looks like quarter inch centipedes running around. Is Neem oil going to fix all this? These guys are inside the soil. Are there other organic products I can use? I humbly await any advice. đ„čđȘłđ·ïž

Hi again. You are all such good teachers. This post concerns white powdery pillowy stuff living on my penstemon. I can not wipe it off with a finger. It also has the itty bitty white fast moving bugs living in the soil. Is this white stuff some kind of egg deposits? A fungus? So clueless heređ€

Good morning. Newbie from Denver here. It rained here yesterday, an uncommon event, and now Iâm seeing teeny tiny fast moving white or gray pests squirming around the base of my plants inside the soil. I canât get a photo because theyâre too small but these pics of my viola (now looking â ïž dead), my harebells, and geranium show their damage. It seems they are destroying the base of my plants. What could these be? How do I get rid of them? Many thanks in advance.đ€đ
