Does anyone know how to keep squirrels from eating your strawberries? My grandma has a small garden in her backyard and the birds and squirrels eat most of the strawberries and she’s not a big fan of pesticides lol. I was talking about making a handmade chicken wire contraption but that would take a lot of time any ideas??

Hi all . . Wondering if anyone can help, I brought a Solanum Crispum (Potato vine) in April and it doesnt seem to be doing very well. Ive covered it with stones as thought roots dont like too much sun, its in a south facing spot (although sun has to rise higher than the house). I live in wales (lots of rain) - wondering whether the stones are keeping the roots too wet? Its strange as I have a non climbing Solanum laxum and that seems to be doing really well, only real difference being stones & size of the pot. Any help or advice would be very welcome
Found this mushroom in my neighborhood and saw that is has a few strands of grass growing THROUGH it and have never seen anything like this... can anyone identify it?
I’m new to outdoor gardening, and my townhouse development has really awful soil quality in what they have already planted, so I’m planning on ripping all the soil out and planting something new. Does anyone have any soil brand recommendations other than miracle grow? I live in a pretty humid part of PA, and it’s killed anything I’ve ever planted with it within 2 weeks, so I can’t trust it. Any recommendations for flowers to plant in the spring or fall in a 7A zone that can tolerate the cold and snow, and full sun would be very greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance! 😊
Can anyone help me figure out what is happening to my lilac bush? This was a Mother’s Day gift and was planted back in May. There is a white film on some of the leaves and some holes in the leaves.

Two questions: first, living in New England, how do I winterize this plant? And second, does this plant look healthy? I know it’s blooming but when I first planted it, it was nice and perked up. Is it supposed to look like this after a while?
Newbie here. This August lily (that’s what this app says it is) is in the shade. It just this week started browning on me. Dr Planta was no help. Any ideas what the browning is?
Am I crazy 🤪 or could wasps be eating the leaves 🍃 of my plum cherry 🍒 trees?!! I see them in the trees 🌳 but it never occurred to me it was them doing the damage. Could it be the evil 😈 terrors? ( PS I posted this in another group by accident if you saw it there. )
