Does Planta have a way to change settings for outdoor locations to overwintering?

I understand that coffee grounds are good for fertilizers. Is this true and if so how should it be done and for what type of plants. Thank you in advance.

If possible I would like some help with my echinacea. Since I took this photo it has gotten worse, the leaves are more yellow and wilty with big holes and brown patches. I have moved it to a pot so I can keep a better eye on it. I suspected it was overwatered but the soil around it was loose and dry. Could this be a problem with positioning or soil? Thanks :)

I’m not sure if this is the best forum to post this question so if someone has a better location, let me know and I can delete it and repost it to a more appropriate place. Last winter I had several outdoor plants that were brought inside for winter. They included a couple of Boston’s ferns, pineapple plant, ,maypop vines, hydrangea and hibiscus. They kind of took over the house and I when Christmas hit we nearly had no place to actually put up a Christmas tree. This year, my potted outdoor plants have multiplied around my property, so in addition to what I have already listed, I have an 3 potted avocado trees and two Arbequina olives, Meyer lemon, key lime, Persian lime, rosemary and lavender. There is no possible way to get everything inside and still have room for people. 😝 My HOA refuses to allow green houses so that is not an option. I have a 3 car garage with two eastern facing windows on the wall next to the garage bay we use for storage. My plan is to create an “indoor greenhouse” by hanging plastic sheeting from the ceiling to separate that bay from the two bays we park in. It should help trap in the warmer garage air and prevent it a cold blast when the double garage door is opened. I also plan to have a small space heater inside the “green houses” to be used only when I am actively in the space. As stated before, the only available light will be eastern exposure and the windows are 34” wide and sit 4 feet off the ground. I have work benches in front of the windows so plants should have access to the maximum amount possible of natural light, (for at least the few that can sit on the work bench) but I have a sneaking suspicion that it won’t be nearly enough since most of these are trees and tropical or arid ones at that. I plan to get additional lights but I am wondering if anyone has ever done something like this and if so, how did it work out for you? What worked? What didn’t? What would you have changed? Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated!

I just received this Alocasia Frydek in the mail, should I repot it into a 4” pot? Or leave it on its 2” pot?

When/how to separate irises. HELP! I have a few bearded irises that came with the house when we moved 2024. Each Iris “area” had 2-3 now there’s 3-4 plants and they’re pretty crowded. Now, they definitely need to be separated/thinned. I have never thinned these before but was told to wait until Fall. Is this correct? And, any tips on separating them? I’m pretty good at killing plants 🙈

I bought two 10 inch angel trumpet starts with Roos last December. I’m in zone 9b. Just had my first blooms. ❤️❤️❤️

I planted about 6 peony in late spring and the tallest one has only grown 5-6" high. I'm being asked to cut back a third, but that would leave just a stem. Don't know what to do.

Planta will suggest I water some of my plants almost every day. Like my Plum tree or Chilli’s for example. But often the soil is still damp. So generally I just give them a light sprinkle. I’m wondering are these tasks suggested each day because the plants/soil need to be kept moist as thats their preferred conditions? Or should I always, with any plant, only be completing the task if the first 1/2 inches of soil is dry? And snoozing if still wet.

My baby tomato is giving me a flower! 🍅🌸

A bay laurel seedling (sprung from a fallen seed of the neighbor’s tree) is doing well in a small space in my garden, but it is growing right in the middle of a fast-growing succulent. Will the succulent eventually prevent the bay laurel from growing fully? Should I remove the succulent to give the bay laurel a chance? Any tips would be appreciated!!
