Any tips for building a window box to plant a small vegetable garden in?

I need to bring my jasmines indoors before a freeze next week, but I don't have enough light for them indoors. Any tips or similar experiences? Will they be fine for a week of low light?

I just bought some plant seeds on amazon and am hoping for advice planting them. I live in a place with mostly indirect sunlight. Unnecessary details feel free to skip: They don’t arrive until a few weeks from now. I got Spinach seeds, Banana Pepper seeds, Cucumber seeds, and Cherry Tomato seeds. I know that plants need sun water and dirt obviously. I think they need plant food too but my family say it’s not important I want to buy some to be on the safe side. I was hoping that 4 different 5 gallon pots would be fine. I don’t know how many bags of soil I’d need for that. I live in New York and I sort of have a back yard but it isn’t the brightest because it’s in between two buildings even though sunlight does reach it’s not direct. We don’t really have windows with light either but I do have a plant light. What advice can you give? I don’t know where to start…

Looking for advice on my Sequoia Giganteum! I live in Humboldt County, which is the native area for Sequoia sempervirens (coastal redwoods). This giant sequoia (the giant redwood type found in Yosemite) has been doing well since I moved here in 2021. It’s about 10-12 years old now! With more growth it loses some small branches and has its lower branches turn brown and die off in the summer when it’s warm or under watered, but this winter it’s losing way more branches than usual! I pruned off the dead branches and used them as mulch for the tree, but I’m worried the tree will continue to lose more or too much. Any advice? FYI, We rarely get hard freezes here because of the high humidity so I don’t think frost is an issue. It gets good morning light and has new growth on most of the top tips. I transplanted the tree into this bigger pot over summer of 2023 and it grew really well after the transplant. Any input is welcomed!!

This has been one of the best ideas I’ve come up with. I’m trying to acclimate my Tineke plant to the outdoors, I wanted it to get scattered bright light and a few hours of direct sun. But too much sun and these variegated leaves will burn. I put it on the NW side of these Madagascar Periwinkle and it has been doing fantastically! Oh hey.. what’s that behind the flowers? 😋

Hello. I am new to the group. I planted all these 4 plants at the same time. They were all fairly the same size. The jalapeños and red cherry tomatoes have grown well. But my Thai Hot pepper plant dried up all its leaves and is looking sad. Any suggestions?

Do yall have any suggestions on a good trellis to help this bougainvillea grow up and over this frame?

I prune my plants using cat claw clippers. I don’t have a cat anymore so they have a new job. Honestly works better than my pruning shears.

Question please if someone can help. So my plum tree is over 8 ft and I water it probably once a week I would say. The leaves are all getting yellowish brown. Am I doing something wrong? I follow this app but I don’t know??
