Hello everyone! I bought my first house so it’ll be my first time starting a garden. I want to do all the things! I just cleared out this little patch I have in my front yard today, so the imagine the picture without the bushes. What plants should I use? I want colorful flowers and I want to keep mosquitoes away. Also, while clearing out the area I found so many pests. What are some good pesticides that are safe for the garden?

First time winter sowing. I’m in NE Ohio. So far I have broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, and onions growing. Time to get the raised beds ready for spring!!!
My tomato and flower seeds start but are always spindly. I bought special seed starting pods with their own led grow lights and a heating pad. The seeds start super fast. But they are spindly. I have turned off the heating pad. Put by window. And turned off grow lights. No change. I used quality soil. Any suggestions are welcome.

Just got a jalapeño plant and beefsteak tomato plant at the store today! I just added it to my app. I’m unsure when they were watered last. Planta is telling me to water them. I have a moisture meter and it says the soil is dry but it feels damp. Should I still water? We added a bamboo stick and a bread tie to help support the tomato plant because she was leaning big time, is this okay? Also, any recommendations for these plants would be super helpful! I’ve never grown vegetables before and I’m hoping to be successful!!! 🖤
I’m in Tucson and I’m just learning. My husband made me this set up! It was originally against the wall to the right but my plants in the bed were getting fried. Now I placed them against this fence. I am facing west in this picture. Is this a bad spot?🥺 I have Zucchini, Crookneck Squash, Broccoli, and in the bed there’s 2 bell pepper plants and 2 strawberry plants. I panicked because I saw my leaves in the broccoli and squash look sad (I’m not typically home during this time of day). I watered the squash because I didn’t last night, but it was high noon, did I mess them up?😱 I moved my broccoli into the shade casted by the bed.
Hellebore help: I was gifted a hellebore plant and I’d like to keep it until I can plant it outside. I live in Central Indiana, so we probably still have at least another month of possible, freezing nights. How do I keep it alive indoors until I can plant it outside? It is not thriving.

I bought 4 of these for my outdoor garden against my house! I am new to outdoor gardening as I have only ever been an indoor plant kind of gal but I am branching out this year! 🤣 curious if anyone has had any of these?
