Almost gave up on this Dahlia and it’s been so long since it was planted I have no clue what color. Can’t wait to find out!

When managing grapes it amazes me how barbaric they are. I always check for vines crushing other flowers because they will target clusters and squish them. Survival of the fittest garden edition. It’s time consuming to remove the tendrils but just snip, find a open area, extend the vine to the support and voila. Doesn’t have to be anything legit either. Old arrows from target practice or broken bamboo stakes they all work. Don’t pay more just for uniformity for uniformity sake. Make your garden unique. Make it an extension of yourself. All our lives are different so every garden should look different.

Extremely ahead of schedule. Flowers for the grapes are blooming. Not a beautiful flower but a great sign that grapes are on the way.

So 2 questions, 1. I have better boy tomatoes growing with a few of them not being a foot tall but growing flowers, should I prune those? Also on the topic of those, on the ones that I have that are over a foot besides the ones touching the ground is there any branches I can prune to keep them from being bushy?

Had a rough start but my plants have grown so much this past month! Finally got a tiny jalapeño growing and about to harvest my cilantro and basil! Does anyone have tips for harvesting cilantro and sweet basil? I want to make sure I don’t kill the plant and keep getting more from them.

In the deep dark reaches of the yard blueberry plants grow neglected lol. Anyone have any blueberry secrets? I’ve worked on PH and nutrient levels. Must be something I’m missing? If anyone knows I’d be greatly appreciative of any advice.

This is my pumpkin “pit”. I call it a pit as I bury our pumpkins here after Halloween. Then in the spring hundreds of sprouts pop up. I pick and pick them out until the biggest plants take over. Once I have 3-4 large started sprouts I feed them heavily and then flush the next day. Like magic they explode with growth. These guys were just seedlings about a week and a half ago. They seem to double in size weekly. Can’t wait to see them finished: these are 15-25 lb variety. I also have big max pumpkins planted in my other beds they reach up to 100lbs with proper irrigation.

I planted onion seeds in a pot and green onions in another at the end of April. How long does it take to see action? Regular onions are inside in a pot and green onions are outside in a pot.

First rain in months lasted two days and brought mounds of new growth in every garden. Potatoes took off. Corn is slowly starting and wild flowers have beat everyone to the punch! Beautiful marigolds right in the center and the other butterfly fodder for my daughter to watch hummingbirds and butterflies this summer. Last year it wasn’t ready until august as no rain fell from June to August. Really thankful for the rain this year! 1.5 inches in two days can change the appearance of a garden fast. Usually for the good.

A glorious day. Neighbor had a Amazon issue long story short he got two augers for free and gave me one. This changes everything. Every spot in the yard is now garden space. Can’t wait to dig a few asparagus holes next spring!

So is there anyone that can help me my tomato plant is looking awful. It’s my first time growing anything this year and I have a few different plants. I love in Scotland and this year we’re very hot weather. I’ve kept it watered especially with this heat but I’m only watering it we needed. So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong can I fix it or is it done for
