I inherited this plant in my garden when I brought the property, I found it smothered under other plants and weeds and planted it in another part of the flower bed to give it time to come back, it doesn't seem to be recovering as much as I would have liked, any recommendations?
Is that a recent picture of it? Your going to want to research into pruning, and prune off all that dead. It won't generally green back up. And pruning it will encourage new growth. Not knowing your weather you usually prune spring or fall. And it crushes the heart. But you'll usually want to cut back most of that new growth to a few inches. Along with clipping off the old should give it a better start, theyre slow growers.
0 J'aime I held off on pruning it cuz I thought it would just be bare if I did that 🙈😅 guess I need to go and bug some pruning shears then
0 J'aime It's literally the most awful when they are mostly bald-headed 😕 you could try to leave the new growth and just tackle the old, and see if that gets it to green up.
