What kinds of plants can you grow in this covered planter? I’ve tried geraniums, hydrangeas and everything tries to die. I have to take the plants out and put them elsewhere in my yard. Any advice? I think this thing is cute and I’ve seen others use it but don’t know what plants they used.
Is it getting too much shade? Or staying wet to long? How are the plants dying? (Drying out? Rotting? Scorching?)
0개 좋아요 They are drying out, loosing leaves. I did water it, but I’m thinking maybe not deep enough?? It definitely doesn’t get rain. I’ve seen beautiful flowers in this water well looking thing. But for me, nothing has lived unless I moved it to the yard.
0개 좋아요 If its drying up, ypu could try putting a tray under the pot to keep it wet a bit longer. Or do a self watering pot, that has a reservoir
좋아요 1개 My only other thought was maybe it was treated with something that wasn't plant friendly, but i see its in a plastic pot, so that shouldn't affect it

Maybe columbine? Bleeding heart? Hyacinth for an early spring bloom?

0개 좋아요 I purchased some columbine seeds and OMG are they small!! Should I start them next spring in smaller containers then transplant or just place the seeds in the pot???
