Should I move my basil seedlings to a pot at this stage? Recently started sprouting within the last 2-4 days, should I move them from their nursery box to a pot? Or should I wait for the sprouts to grow another inch/2?

    they look like they can stay in there a bit longer. what i’ve learned so far is that transferring the babies into big pots might slow down their growth since it’s hard to keep the soil near their roots moist and you may overwater trying (i’ve done that). typically i poke holes in the bottom of the peat pots and transfer once i notice the roots are visible from the holes and that’s worked better for me

    I would wait. The biggest problem woth plants not growing as well from seedling is upsizing to quickly.

    You have two options. Usually I would say you should wait until they have two or three sets of true leaves and that's one option. Those peat pots and cow pots tend to dry out quickly though. If you think you can maintain good soil moisture (not too wet, not too dry). Option 2 would be to delicately move them into small pots. Going to big pots would make water harder to manage. You can put two in each pot and then separate them when you plant them later.
