Hello! Looking for some help with a rosebush. I pruned it down in the fall and it has now grown long, gangly stems without any buds to be seen. What to do?

    If it's the bush's first year, it may be spending more energy on growth than flowers. If it's been established longer than that, give it a trim. Roses very much enjoy being cut back and do best with like 3 major pruning sessions a year. When cutting, try to improve air flow between the stems. You may also want to look up pruning tips for your rose type; the most common are knockouts/floribundas, but I'm more of a hybrid tea person

      Thanks for the tips! I guess I’m worried about pruning it wrong tbh. It’s an established bush, was here when I moved in a year ago.
