Are these Italian eggplants ready for harvest? I know they don’t grow very big, but all the photos look bigger than mine. I don’t think mine are growing anymore so are they ready for harvest?

    Are you growing in containers? Usually in containers the veggies grow a bit on the smaller side. If you gently press on your eggplant and you feel a slightly mushy feel to them they should be ready. If it’s super hard then leave it for another couple of days till you get the mushy springy feel to them. Don’t let them stay too long because they can become over ripe. Also do not water too much at this point ease off it so the eggplant can develop a bit of flavor. Another tip after harvesting remove all yellow spent leaves, loosen the soil fertilize the plant and give it then a heavy drink of water for maybe another yield if the weather allows it.
