      I think its bermuda grass.

      It looks like it needs major watering. When my husband and I transplanted grass it needed watering twice a day.

      Water the living the tar out of it. It should come back. We were away for awhile and no one was watering it and it had huge dead patches but we watered it nearly everyday plus it rained a lot and it came back

    I think you’re right about it being Bermuda. Depends on where you live. Looks like it needs water but where I live I would treat for grubs also. I live in the eastern plains.

      We live in California but Ive never seen any of those

      They’re going to be a couple inches under the ground. Best way to tell is to pull on the grass a little and see if it pulls up or still has roots. If it still has roots it might only need watering. I’ve lost an entire front yard to those and didn’t know what was happening until it was too late.
