HELP! I have just repotted a BUNCH (like probably 20) of my sprouts into bigger pots. A mix of things- Cinderella pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, beans, carrotsā€¦ I noticed when I was done that two of the pots had what I believe to be Fungus Gnat larvae milling about on the top soilā€¦ IM DEVASTATED! Those two pots are quarantined to another area. I have never had to deal with this problem.. which Iā€™m assuming came from the bag of soil I used. (Only those last two pots got the soil from that bag) I havenā€™t watered anything yet luckily so Iā€™ve read I can use a hydrogen peroxide solution to get rid of the larvae, is this true?? Does it work? Is there a better way to get rid of them?? Will it harm my little baby veggie dudes? Plants are about 1-2.5 inches tall in 6-8inch pots, indoor with grow lights!

    Iā€™d recommend using fungus gnat death drops, Iā€™ve seen it work like a charm and much less work than repotting everything or using the stinky mosquito bit tea. Also, I would get either some sticky traps or zevo plug in traps because those larvae will be adults in the next day or two, they have a really fast life cycle and basically live to lay eggs

    Yes, in a pinch use a 1:3 peroxide : water drench. There's a few people on here that use it ever water. I use beneficial microbes, so I use a specific fungas gnat killer

    You can just use mosquito bits, paired with the sticky traps. The death drops Iā€™ve seen floating around on Facebook have mixed reviews. Some people say they work great and Iā€™ve seen a couple comments say that it didnā€™t work and their plants started dying. I personally havenā€™t used it, and itā€™s more expensive than mosquito bits so I opted not to buy it. You should use the mosquito bits with every watering for a bit, you will have to research for how long because idk if itā€™s a couple weeks or a month šŸ¤£ sorry. I havenā€™t had to do this yet. Iā€™ve been noticing a fungus gnat or two flying around occasionally and I usually smash it with my hands like itā€™s a mosquito. No outbreaks yet and Iā€™m praying it stays this way šŸ˜­

    I had this very thing happen last year! I had complete success with the hydrogen peroxide solution.
