What is this growth on the outside of my terracotta pot? Some kind of mold I should be worried about

    You mean the white? It's usually the salts that come from the soil and water in a terra cotta. I've got it on several of mine for years. It doesn't hurt the plant

      Thank you! I wasn’t worried about the plant it was more of a curiosity thing, didn’t know if it was anything that was gonna be releasing spores into the air
