I have a cucumber plant and today I’ve noticed these small black bugs. The plant is suffering a little, many leaves turning yellow/brown. Any idea what this is and how to kill it? Thanks!

    Neem oil can get rid of pests and molds on plants just read the instructions on the bottle if you get it

      I sprayed Neem oil yesterday. I also put some Sevin, but the back of the leaves also have these bugs. Hopefully this will work! Thanks!!

    Sevin has a spray and it actually recommends being sprayed under the leaves. It should solve the issue. These look like the ones that had been eating my grape leaves

    The only thing that seemed to get rid of these jerks when they were going to town on my Rose of Sharon was a two pronged approach: 1) imidacloprid 2) ladybugs (to eat the pre-existing bugs already there). Keep in mind that imidacloprid is a systemic insecticide - it leaches into the soil, is absorbed by the plant and permeates its tissues so any time a bug chomps on it, it gets a mouthful of poisoned food. I don't know if it is recommended to put it on something you will end up eating yourself (if the cucumber plant survives and bears cucumbers). Also - the ladybugs either will leave as soon as the food source runs out (or die also from the insecticide if they try to eat the plant too)
