    What’s the approximate humidity level where you are? I know there are drier bits of Texas and some that are humid.

    Hi ! have you looked at what native plants grow in your area? I don’t know what part you’re from, but it might be worth it to google “native plants for (enter your county and state)”. . You could also look up - Lady Bird Johnson wildflower center and find things for your area. Hope that helps!

    Try looking up lithophyte (likes to grow on rocks) species; they tend to tolerate a wider range of temperatures. As far as more standard plants go, I've found bearded iris handles heat well
