I have 2 eggplant plants in the ground, how do I keep the bugs from eating the leaves without using chemicals. They are the only plants with this issue.

The easiest way is to use other bugs. I'm not sure what's eating your plants, but if it's aphids, ladybugs or mantises work well. If it's caterpillars/hornworms, try to make your area friendly to ichneumon and braconid wasps (those are totally harmless to humans). If you aren't sure what it is, mantises will eat anything.

To get beneficial predators, you can buy ladybugs or mantises from butterfly farms or some nurseries. You can attract the wasps by providing native nectar flowers (i've noticed wasps seem to prefer aster), making an insect-safe water station, and providing leaf litter and some tall grass for them to use as shelter

This is what our garden looks like. We also live on a golf course where they use bug spray every Monday we planted lavender to bring bees, but they have mostly left but thank you for the advice.
