Why are my tomatoes splitting? Watering every other day, and about 50% of them are splitting.

    Is it raining often in your area? Once many of my oranges split after a heavy rain.

      Not really, they’re in pots and I water til water starts coming out the drain hole in the bottom every other day. It’s a 3 gallon pot.

    My tomatoes split throughout last season, and it was driving me crazy. I finally found out that tomatoes are very picky with their watering schedule: you have to water them THE SAME TIME every day. Once I put mine on a scheduled drip system instead of watering with the hose at all different times of day, the splitting stopped. Hope this helps :)

    Hahahaha fr tho. Where i live, it's only rained once in the last month, and it was very light at that
