When do you move your houseplants outside? I’m getting anxious to get the big fellas out in the sun! I live in Zone 7A (Pennsylvania). Plants I’d like to move include amaryllis, succulent mint, ficus triangularis, bird of paradise, and a few others… This is my first spring having some really big plants (they were given to me last June), so I’m not experienced with this process.
I move houseplants to the porch when the nights are going to stay over 50 degrees

Remember when you do, to move them gradually so they get used to the extra light. You can move them outdoors into the shade for a few hours, then a few hours the next day, and keep upping the amount of time and light they receive each day until they are in the place you want them for the whole day.
