A bay laurel seedling (sprung from a fallen seed of the neighbor’s tree) is doing well in a small space in my garden, but it is growing right in the middle of a fast-growing succulent. Will the succulent eventually prevent the bay laurel from growing fully? Should I remove the succulent to give the bay laurel a chance? Any tips would be appreciated!!
For now they're fine, but the bay laurel will eventually shade the succulent too much. Wait for a relatively dry day (succulent roots prefer to be fully dry for moves) and dig both up together. Carefully separate them, then replant where you want them. Water them in after planting. If you move them soon, they should have enough time to get settled before winter
