Is this sunflower a goner?. It was doing good 3 days ago and then yesterday it started looking like this 😭 the app says it needs water but the soil meter says the soil is moist. The temp outside is about 110 and it gets morning sun and afternoon shade now because I thought maybe it was getting too much sun. The app wants me to water daily is that right?
Maybe you live where I live? 🏜️ I wouldn’t give up on it yet, because it’s still green. Once it’s brown, maybe it’s time to say bye, but that one might still produce new shoots. I grow a few different types of sunflowers in my backyard every year. It’s planted in the ground with watering using system twice a day, with the same sun level as yours, and about half usually don’t survive because of the heat. They usually look good until it’s over 105. I just lost a few in the last two days because of the heat:( I would water before the soil dries completely if it’s outside. If you can, move it in a bit cooler area while it recovers.

Remove the dead/damaged looking leaves. This will help the plant have more energy for new growth!
