What are your thoughts on soil testing? Our college extension offers testing for $45 here in Colorado. I’m already fertilizing so I don’t know if it’s worth it. Thoughts and advice appreciated! 😎

ChrissyFor your soil around the yard and garden, totally worth it. Our extension takes 5 samples for $15. Maybe see how many samples you can get for the $40? Certain plants require a specific Ph so it would be important for them but most houseplants can thrive in a ph range around 7.

We yesterday our yard (it was ALOT MORE expensive than $40) because I wanted to know if there was lead residue from past construction projects when our house was flipped. Heavy metals from paints and pressure treated woods are not a thing you want to be gardening your vegetables in. The tests found it safe and I happily garden without worry. We had corn, basil, tomatoes, and kale from the yard last night!
