Any suggestions on what type of equipment would be needed to get these flower beds down to just dirt? Theres mint, gravel, weed fabric, grass and other various things growing. And the flower bed is right up to the house (brick in photo is house) which may add another challenge. The bed is about 4 ft from house and 12 feet long.
Be careful with the weed killer if you want to plant other plants on that bed. Mint survives everything I swear🤣 I would just keep pulling it. Are you trying to take out the weed fabric? You could rake all the rocks out and add soil over the top and raise the bed a little. Put a border of your choosing around it so it’s easier to raise the soil level some. That might take care of the mint problem. Then plant your plants and put a thick layer of bark down around them to keep the weed count down.
1 like Not planning to put any plants there. But will eventually extend the sidewalk to that area too. Yes, trying to pull the weed fabric up. We have done it all by hand last summer but now need heavier duty equipment to completely get rid of everything.
0 likes Well then have at it with the weed killer. Putting rocks down should help keep the weed count down too until you’re ready to extend the sidewalk. If you don’t have rocks then just throw cardboard down over the area and put stuff over it to keep it down.
