I have many bushes of boxwood bonsai here in Denver. Any ideas on how to prune? Am I supposed to make them look like the little bonsais in pots?

      They face west in Denver so a ton of hot afternoon sun.

      More on the north side. Hydrangeas are squishing them.🥹

    Okay great, thanks for the pictures for reference! So you could one of two ways, I’d still keep it a bush structure so as to not make it look so bare. But you could go and trim it as a curved low hedge, or you could do a boxed hedge depending on what you like best. I added some pictures from online and also drew in both looks using your photos, hope that makes sense! And lovely hydrangeas by the way! 😊
