Green beans and peas have been easy for me. Or at least I didn’t kill them. I’d suggest buying or starting some marigold for pests. If you want color and to attract pollinators, Zinnias are, in my opinion, the easiest flower to grow. I love when they’re all big and mighty around my garden. All of these are easy with fast gratification and will boost your confidence as a first time gardener.

Thank you! I want to add some color for sure but I’ve either killed the plant or it didn’t sprout at all.

Zinnias for the win! For real. They reseed and love the sun. They were the first flower i successfully grew that lasted all season, and kept giving me new flowers with it’s self seeding. But if you’re in a cooler climate, you may want to pass - they want that hot sun. Even still, Marigolds will still be your best friend!
