New to gardening and found this (fungus?) on my okra plants, anyone know exactly what this is or how to treat?

    These pictures to me most closely resemble an onion earthball mushroom which is unsafe for people (and dogs) to eat.

    Are any other mushrooms growing directly on an okra stem? I'm wondering if this is a freak accident. Usually mushrooms in soil are a sign of healthy soil and don't hurt the garden.

    Btw this is not a positive identification....depends on what region of the world you are in and how your weather has been. Look for local mushroom groups to ask and the app iNaturalist could help as well
