Are my provider bush beans ready to harvest? It’s been around 40-45 days since I planted. And these are the biggest beans so far. I know if I let them grow too much they’ll become stringy. Are these the right size? They’re pretty hard. No squish at all. Around same color as the leaves, slightly lighter.
You can but in my garden they can get a lot bigger.

I think it depends on how you like them. If you like your green beans on the tender side, I think they’re ready to harvest. If you want them to get larger they can stay longer on the vine. That said, they also get tougher as time goes along, so don’t take too long.
