The black-eyed Susan’s are so happy their second year here :) what are your favorite perennial flowers to grow?

    This is my second year outdoor gardening and I love irises! They’re so easy to grow and the bulbs make me feel like I’m good at growing lol ☺️🫶🏼

      Ooo I should get some of those! Do you take the bulbs out and store them or just leave them in the ground over winter?

      You leave them in the ground. Irises go dormant in the winter

      Just leave them! I got the bulbs last fall after they stopped flowering and buried them with a little bit of the top of the bulbs showing. I left the leaves for a bit, but trimmed them down to the base after a while, but idk if you’ll even have to do that since they’re perennials. ☺️🙏🏼

    I like astilbe. And it's technically an annual, but nigella reseeds well

    I’m going to try Irises this year. Last year I did tulips and they did great, so this year I’m switching up.
