Good morning. Newbie from Denver here. It rained here yesterday, an uncommon event, and now I’m seeing teeny tiny fast moving white or gray pests squirming around the base of my plants inside the soil. I can’t get a photo because they’re too small but these pics of my viola (now looking ☠️ dead), my harebells, and geranium show their damage. It seems they are destroying the base of my plants. What could these be? How do I get rid of them? Many thanks in advance.🤔🙃

This sounds like springtails, most likely only hurting small baby plants but larger plants shouldn’t have a problem with a pronoun root system like these here.
