Question. So I have some perennials in pots outside (NC). I havenā€™t watered them in a couple weeks. Iā€™m going back and forth about watering them lol. We just had a big snow/ice storm the other day (I covered and insulated them in frost cloths for that and they are still on right now). One of the pots has no leaves since it went dormant, and the other ones are still green just not blooming. Should I water any of them and take off the frost cloths off of any of them? Hereā€™s the weather forecast for my area

    I donā€™t know where you are located but both in MI and now in NC my perennials get ignored in the winter and follow the care of nature. I only water during warm months.

      Okay thank you! Iā€™m in NC, sorry. That makes sense, donā€™t want them to have frozen wet roots

    Is the cover making it humid inside at all? So they're getting some water? I don't have anything covered this season cuz the Fing squirrels ate my two plants I was. But I would water them on a warmer day to avoid freezing. But just with a small amount too. If they are staying humid under the cover, I'd say they are probably okay, and getting enough moisture from that. Especially if they're still mostly greening

      Ummm I would say so, itā€™s being hit by morning and midday sun before going in the shade. Oh no! Those darn squirrels! I have a whole mess of them living in my neighborhood and they fing destroyed my bird feeder for all the beautiful cardinals and blue jays we have around here, so no nuts for them this year šŸ™„yeah thatā€™s a good idea, Iā€™ll give them a sip after our next freeze is over and the nightly temps rise above freezing. Thank you!

      Oh nice, yea the morning sun shiuld definitely help facilitate that. Fr i literally walked out to a bunch of twigs strewn about my stoop. šŸ˜­
